There Are So Many Ways You Can Partner With Candlelighters
To Help Families Of Children With Cancer in Houston
Adopt A Family for the Holidays
Sponsor a family or families by providing gifts, a holiday meal, or perhaps a holiday tree or wreath. Sponsors are matched to families and personally deliver gifts to their family. Gift cards and monetary donations to Candlelighters are always helpful. For more information, email Roxy Gomez at [email protected].
Camp CLIFF is the only Childhood Cancer Camp that accommodates the whole family, making it one of our best events of the year! Our families love this unique camp and respite from hospital life. Become a sponsor, camp counselor, or volunteer to help out with camp games and activities; camp is an entire weekend of fun and special memories as Camp for All in Burton, TX. You will be moved by this life changing experience. For more information, email Roxy Gomez at [email protected].
This family event is a full day of fun and games! Donations are needed for gift cards, prizes, food, beverages, and door prize packages. Volunteers are needed to run booths, face painting, arts and crafts, games, raffle, set-up and take-down. For more information, email Roxy Gomez at [email protected].
Organize a team of walkers with your family or office! This is a touching event where you’ll walk alongside families touched by childhood cancer who also want to pay it forward. You’ll see the difference you’re making for children with cancer and their families first hand! For more information, email Lynn Wheeler at [email protected] or Kelsey Tarpinian at [email protected].
Tuesday, November 27 is #GivingTuesday! #GivingTuesday proves that the holidays can be about giving and GIVING BACK. It celebrates how Americans can do more with their wallets than just shop. #GivingTuesday is a special call to action and creates a national day of giving around the annual shopping and spending season to inspire giving every day. It cost our families $12 a day to park at the Texas Medical Center, can you donate $12 to help a family pay for parking? DONATE NOW!

Lights of Courage Luncheon
Sponsor our successful fundraiser by purchasing a table to hear from our childhood cancer honorees and notable guest speakers. Guest speakers have included President George H.W. Bush, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Susan Baker, Dan Rather, actor G.W. Bailey and Houston Astros President Reid Ryan to name a few. For more information, email Lynn Wheeler at [email protected].
Schools around Houston are partnering with Candlelighters to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer.
