PROVIDE HOPE AND JOY FOR A CHILDHOOD CANCER FAMILY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Adopt-A-Family for the Holidays Program provides hope, support and practical help to families during the holiday season.
This heartwarming program offers the Sponsors the opportunity to interact with Candlelighters families. This contact is important for both families and sponsors, in celebrating the true meaning of the holidays. Discover the joy of spreading holiday cheer to families who find the season especially difficult while coping with a child diagnosed with cancer or having recently lost a child to cancer. Since our treatment centers are international, this program reflects all diverse cultures, backgrounds, and socio-economic groups. Donors and sponsors have been individual families, individual grades and classes or entire schools, employee groups, clubs, businesses, church youth groups, and individuals.

Please contact your Candlelighters Parent Consultant to register for this program.
SPONSOR A FAMILY
This heartwarming program offers the Sponsors the opportunity to interact with Candlelighters families. Our Adopt-A-Family program serves childhood cancer families not only in financial need, but also families in emotional need. Candlelighters recognizes that the diagnosis of childhood cancer affects the entire family, so we also serve siblings and parents through this program.

*We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed how we are working, gathering, and giving – we will have some updated policies & procedures for this year’s Adopt-A-Family program to keep our immunocompromised community safe. We still encourage safe {virtual} contact with families via phone calls and even FaceTime, however this year, we will be asking Sponsors to coordinate contactless drop-off delivery. While we typically invite face-to-face interaction with families, this year it is just not safe. There will also be NO HOSPITAL DELIVERIES this year, as mandated by our partner hospitals. Candlelighters will still assign families to sponsors so that sponsors can meet them virtually and coordinate the contactless gift deliveries.
