Provide Hope and Joy for a Childhood Cancer Family
this Holiday Season
Adopt-A-Family for the Holidays Program provides hope, support and practical help to families during the holiday season.
This heartwarming program offers the Sponsors the opportunity to interact with Candlelighters families. This contact is important for both families in celebrating the true meaning of the holidays. Discover the joy of spreading holiday cheer to those families who find the season especially difficult while coping with a child diagnosed with cancer or having recently lost a child to cancer. Donors can be matched to a family of their choice. Since our treatment centers are international, this program reflects all diverse cultures. Donors and sponsors have been individual families, individual grades and classes or entire schools, employee groups, clubs, businesses, church youth groups, and individuals.
Please contact your Candlelighters Parent Consultant to register for this program.
SPONSOR A FAMILY
Sponsor a family or families by providing gifts, a holiday meal, or perhaps a tree or holiday wreath! Sponsors are matched to families and personally deliver gifts to their family.
At this point in time we have successfully matched all of our families with community sponsors. If you are still looking to Adopt-A-Family for the Holidays, we would urge you to make a donation that will enable us to provide Holiday gifts and treats to families who are yet to receive a childhood cancer diagnosis this Holiday Season. Last year, between Thanksgiving and the New Year, Candlelighters was able to provide Holiday Joy in this way to 45 newly diagnosed families, most of whom spent their Holidays in the hospital. Thanks to YOU we were able to do this, and we still need funds to be able to do this throughout the remainder of the Holiday Season. You will be updated on the family(ies) you helped with your donation!
Gift cards and monetary donations to Candlelighters are always helpful to make sure no family is overlooked, especially those families diagnosed in December.
